For those fantasy owners that partake in a rookie only draft for your keeper – dynasty league this cheat sheet is geared towards those drafts. Take a look at which rookies we find to be most valuable at each position for the future.

Some of these rookies will be worth starting in your league right away but others will take a year or two to make an impact. While Sam Bradford should start in the NFL before Jimmy Clausen, we still recommend that you go with Clausen first at quarterback.

The Panthers have a much better situation for Clausen to have success in, and it helps that they drafted Brandon LaFell and Armanti Edwards in the middle rounds this year. Having a young group of talented pass catchers and two talented offensive tackles should give Clausen a great chance for success in the NFL.

Many keeper leagues that have rookie drafts give you special rights to keep those rookies you’ve selected before. This will help you hold onto development players like Clausen or Bradford until they become fantasy starters in a few years.
