Broncos LB Elvis Dumervil Down With Torn Pectoral Muscle | IDP Fantasy Outlook

Jan 31, 2010; Miami, FL, USA; AFC linebacker Elvis Dumervil of the Denver Broncos (92) is introduced before the 2010 Pro Bowl at Sun Life Stadium. The AFC defeated the NFC 41-34.

In horrible news for the Broncos defense and team, linebacker Elvis Dumervil will be out for at least around four months with a torn pectoral muscle. This injury could lead to Dumervil missing the entire 2010 season as the Broncos will look to others to make an impact in the pass rush.

For IDP fantasy football, Dumervil was a decent option in Big Play leagues, but it is best if fantasy owners pass on him at drafts this season as he won’t be at full health, even if he does return at some point.

This loss all but guarantees that the Broncos should struggle as the season gets deeper as they need their high impact star to play great in order to disrupt the passing game and make turnovers.

For regular fantasy football that deals with team defenses, you should also pass on the Broncos defense as well with this pivotal player out.
