Fantasy Game Results For Week Two

DETROIT - SEPTEMBER 19: Jahvid Best of the Detroit Lions scores on a 75 yard pass from Shaun Hill during the second quarter of the game against the Philadelphia Eagles at Ford Field on September 19, 2010 in Detroit, Michigan. (Photo by Leon Halip/Getty Images)

Jahvid Best had a monster day with three total touchdowns and over 150 yards receiving on the game. For the second week in a row we have seen a Lions’ game where a running back had a big receiving game and both weeks the runner against the Lions has been huge. This week that running back was LeSean McCoy as he posted 120 yards rushing and multiple touchdowns.

While the Lions and Eagles had a big offensive scoring day, other games like the Titans and Steelers were a defensive struggle. In that game, both quarterbacks Dennis Dixon and Vince Young failed to finish the game because of health or ineffectiveness. Both teams don’t have losing records going into week three, but they will have quarterback concerns going forward.

Below we have a link to podcast for every mourning and afternoon game for the second week of the fantasy football season. In each podcast, we give you the run down of numbers worth paying attention too for standard, PPR and IDP fantasy leagues.

More Week Two Notes

Schaub vs McNabb

Matt Schaub was back in a big way this week as he threw for just under 500 yards passing against the Redskins. Donovan McNabb got his team out to a big lead and this led to Schaub needing to throw from behind to get the Texans back into the game. McNabb had a big day himself as he threw for over 400 yards in this overtime score fest.

Two weeks in a row the Texans’ defense has given up over 400 yards passing to their opposing quarterback. Because of this fault on defense, Schaub will continue to post good days.

Michael Turner Out, Jason Snelling In

The Falcons running game ran right through the Cardinals’ defense in this game. Only problem for fantasy owners was that Michael Turner picked up where he left off last year and had an injury in the first half. Since I had Turner a year ago and have him in a few leagues this year, this injury hurts bad. If you were disappointed in Turners 9 carry, 75 yard performance, I feel your pain.

One man’s loss is another’s gain, and Snelling had a huge day. Turner will probably be ok going forward but Snelling is a hot waiver pickup non the less.
