Positional IDP Rankings: Week 3

Both Patrick Willis and Jared Allen have been knocked off their top spot. Yeremiah Bell is still clinging to his No. 1 position but LaRon Landry has been blowing people up. As a guy who gets a lot of attention for not being great against the pass, Landry has been all over the field making tackles, currently leading the NFL in tackles.
James Harrison makes a huge jump after a big game against the Tennessee Titans in which he had 11 combined tackles, two sacks and two forced fumbles. But not to be outdone, his teammate Lawrence Timmons takes over the top spot after putting up 15 combined tackles and a forced fumble.
Week 3 presents some interesting matchups for rush-heavy teams. Miami plays the New York Jets at home on Sunday night. Both teams run the ball a ton so guys like Bell, Mike Devito, Shaun Ellis, Karlos Dansby, Sione Pouha, Jason Allen and others should have tons of opportunities to make plays and work their way up the ranking.
On the other hand, the Philadelphia Eagles have only run the ball 28 times thus far and they play Jacksonville. For guys like Aaron Kampman and unranked players like Kirk Morrison and Courtney Greene, this presents a matchup that might not result in big tackle numbers.
What I find interesting is that the Lions have so many high performers along the defensive line, which implies they’re making more stops at the line of scrimmage. But given their results, they aren’t as they have one of the worst fantasy defenses.
