2010 Week Two – Wk 2 NFL Fantasy Player Rankings – Friday Updates
Below we have some of the notable changes from earlier in the week as injuries play a factor in rankings once again.
Hakeem Nicks Practices Friday
Before Friday, it was starting to look like week one stud receiver Hakeem Nicks wouldn’t play against the Colts. Nicks tried to practice on Thursday but couldn’t finish with an ankle injury. Because of the injury, I dropped him out of the top fifteen fantasy receivers for this week, but he should still be start worthy.
Beanie Wells Off List
Early in the week it looked like Beanie Wells was a go for this week but by Friday, he might miss another game. The week four preseason knee injury is taking its toll, and Wells is missing time because of it. This is a disappointment to Wells owners as he is expected to have a breakout fantasy season in 2010.
Don’t give up on Wells being a good player this year, but it could be a few more games before he’s back to full health. If Wells should miss the game than Tim Hightower would be the one to start on the Cardinals.
Shonn Greene Falls Apart
We put our first standard league rankings out before the Monday night games each week and Greene took a noticeable hit in fantasy value against the Ravens. Greene fumbled the football twice and only ran for about 15 yards on the game. It’s time to be concerned about Greene as his offensive coordinator already came out this week and said Greene would be benched again if he fumbles.
Tomlinson will take more work in this offense, and these runners are in a 50 / 50 time split in the backfield.
