Week 3: Standard Player Rankings
2010 Week Three – Wk 3 NFL Fantasy Football Player Rankings – Projections
As two weeks have passed in the 2010 fantasy football season it is becoming easier to read some of the early season trends with different players and teams. Some star players have yet to have a good game and show production for your squad, but it’s still early in the season. The biggest problem fantasy owners will have is dealing with injured players like Michael Turner or Ryan Mathews.
One player who has fallen completely off the start wire is C.J. Spiller of the Buffalo Bills. Spiller has been a complete non factor in his first two games and isn’t close to being a fantasy starter at this time.
While Spiller has been in effective and Mathews is injured, it is rookie Jahvid Best that has taken the fantasy world by storm early on. Best has five touchdowns in his first two games and even total over 150 receiving against the Eagles last Sunday. Best may have his issues of playing strong for sixteen games as most rookies do, but he is a tremendous talent.
Anyone who watched him with the Cal Bears wouldn’t be surprised to see him have a nose for the end zone and make big plays. Still, I can’t think anyone thought he would come out this strong to begin the season.
This coming week Best will be challenged against the Vikings, but because he can run and catch, he is a must start every week. Look to Best as a strong No.2 running back for your fantasy team moving forward.

Just wondering if Vick at 10 is warranted considering Reid is adamant that Kolb is the starter next week? Anyone else have an opinion?
Sean Douglas
It’s early in the week and Kolb has been cleared for practice. However, it’s easy for a player with concussion problems to show signs at any time in the week and he could be shut down. We do a regular update on our weekly rankings each Friday and if Vick won’t start we will change this.
As far as I see it, the Eagles should sit Kolb for another week as Vick should lead the Eagles to victory over the Jaguars. In the end, if Kolb is slow coming back Reid will be forced to start Vick soon after.

Sorry this is totally off topic, but I just noticed it looking for Bears news – nice use of Scribd.
Sean Douglas
No problem Sherley. We use scribd for many things on the site and that includes our weekly player rankings.
