Defensive Lineman

James Hall @ Buccaneers: I’ve talked off and on about James Hall all year and last week he posted another two sacks against the Chargers. The Rams defense has definitely played better than a year ago and that is partly why they are winning football games. Hall should continue to make plays as the Rams are keeping themselves in every football game.

Rob Ninkovich @ Chargers: The Patriots Rob Ninkovich has been making plays over his past two games and is worth a start against the Chargers shaky offensive line.

Kenyon Coleman: A few weeks back Kenyon Coleman had a nice game and it seemed like he might be inline for more success. Unfortunately, Coleman has had a few average days at best over the past two weeks and isn’t making enough big plays to be counted on.

E.J. Henderson @ Packers: The Vikings talented linebacker E.J. Henderson made a fast recovery from a nasty injury last year and was able to play as soon as week one. Henderson has a few slow games but it looks like he’s pickup the pace over the past two games. Look for Henderson to continue his production against the Packers.

Cameron Wake vs Steelers: Wake was an IDP sleeper of mine coming into this season as he looked primed to see an advance role in pass rush. So far this season Wake has at least one sack in four of his first five games played. Last week, Wake torched the Packers offensive line and sacked Aaron Rodgers three times.

This week Wake plays the Steelers and Ben Roethlisberger is known for taking sacks. Look for Wake to go for more than one sack for the second week in a row.

Shaun Phillips vs Patriots: The fun looks to be over for Shaun Phillips as he’s failed to post a sack in each of his past two games. While it’s not likely to see any player be consistent with sacks, fantasy owners need that kind of production every week from Phillips for him to be worth using.

Lance Briggs: Last week Lance Briggs failed to play against the Seahawks and unless he puts a full day of practice in this week you should give him a week off.

Defensive Backs

CB Tramon Williams vs Vikings: Look for Tramon Williams to continue his success as offenses look to stay away from Charles Woodson. Get Williams in the lineup as Brett Favre is always good for take a few gambles every week.

S Chris Crocker @ Falcons: The Bengals safety Chris Crocker has been red hot in his last two games played. If your in need of a bye week fill in at safety, Crocker is a nice roll of the dice.

Dashon Goldson @ Panthers: The 49ers safety had a nice season for IDP last year but this season has been a different story. Goldson hasn’t been worth the top fifteen billing (for defensive backs) he was ranked at by many IDP fantasy experts.
