IDP Waiver Wire Pickups Week 7
Defensive Lineman
Calais Campbell: If Calais Campbell is sitting out on your waiver wire this week he should be a decent pickup against the Seahawks. Campbell hasn’t been an every week IDP fantasy option this year, but he is consistent about showing up with average production weekly. Look to Campbell as a decent option for bye weeks.
Matt Shaughnessy: The Raiders’ defense can get to the quarterback and Matt Shaughnessy has been doing a good job of that lately. For the past two weeks, Shaughnessy has posted a sack and at least four tackles in each game.
Linebackers
Takeo Spikes: Patrick Willis hasn’t been as good as he’s been in the past, and that is in large part because opposing teams are always keeping someone watching him. Because offenses are so concerned about Willis, fellow players like Takeo Spikes are seeing an increase in opportunities and thus a better IDP fantasy stock.
Spikes should remain active in the 49ers defense as long as he’s on the field opposite Willis on the inside of the linebacking core.
Defensive Backs
CB – Bradley Fletcher: The Rams seem to have a new fantasy relevant corner back and his name is Bradley Fletcher. For most of the season Fletcher has put up respectable IDP numbers, and it seems he is only getting better. Take a look at Bradley if you’re in need of a replacement for bye week play.
S – Donte Whitner: I can’t believe Donte Whitner is still around on waiver wires, but I do see him around in a couple of my leagues. Whitner is enjoying success in the Bills three – four defense and should continue to have productive numbers this year.
