[picappgallerysingle id="10209365"]Well, we missed a week with the IDP rankings but the show must go on.
Things haven’t changed too drastically here on the rankings board. But consistency is still key, as has been stated from the beginning. New England Patriots linebacker Jerod Mayo looks like the frontrunner to lead the league in tackles after San Francisco’s Patrick Willis had the most in two of the last three years.
How the mighty have fallen in the sack category. Last year’s leader was Denver Broncos specialist Elvis Dumervil but he’s been out for the season. Minnesota defensive end Jared Allen, who finished second last season, only has 5.5 sacks so far this season. And even Indianapolis’ Dwight Freeney only has 6 sacks.
Washington’s DeAngelo Hall currently leads the NFL with six interceptions. But I’ve got to give props to Asante Samuel who was tied for the league lead with nine last season and he’s currently tied for second in 2010 with five picks.
