Defensive Ends

DE – Jarret Johnson vs Dolphins: The Ravens’ linebacker Jarret Johnson can be eligible as a defensive end in many IDP leagues. If he is, his value is worth using at this time as he’s been putting up decent tackle totals for the past few weeks.

DE – Jared Allen vs Cardinals: I know Jared Allen and the Vikings’ defense have been a disappointment but look for the big defensive end to have a strong game. The Cardinals are having horrible problems this year on offense and Allen should step it up.

Chris Kelsay vs Bears: Last week Chris Kelsay only had one tackle and I didn’t hear word that he left the game because of injury. Usually Kelsay is an ok option for a bye week fill in, but I would expect the Bears to get things going on the ground with Matt Forte.

David Harris @ Lions: The Jets’ man in the middle David Harris was a disappointment for IDP fantasy owners in September but has turned it around in the past three weeks. Feel safe in using Harris regularly from this day forwards as it looks like he’s ready to play at the level we’ve come to expect.

Brian Urlacher @ Bills: Brian Urlacher came out with a strong start to the season but has faded over the past month. Urlacher isn’t the player he was a few years back and has been one of the more overrated IDP options for many years. At this point, I would like to see him show some more energy on the field before placing him back in the lineup.

Defensive Backs

CB – Kelvin Hayden @ Eagles: The Colts top corner had a touchdown last week and should post a decent day again against the Eagles. Look for Hayden to get around five or six tackles and maybe a pick as the Eagles will be throwing often.

S – Charles Godfrey vs Saints: The Panthers’ safety Charles Godfrey had a hot start to the season, but he’s been average at best over the past three games. As long as Godfrey can make plays, he’s a decent IDP fantasy option but his sub par tackle totals of late make it challenging to keep him in the lineup.
