Week 10 Start’em Sit’em
David Garrard vs Texans: Houston’s pass defense is horrible and David Garrard should have a strong game. If your quarterback has a tough matchup and hasn’t produced well of late (Tom Brady) or your quarterback is on a bye week, give Garrard a try.
Matt Ryan vs Ravens: Most of the time fantasy owners wouldn’t consider options like Matt Ryan to start. Since a few top quarterbacks are off this week Ryan will be a name kicked around by various owners to use.
While the Falcons are playing good football, I don’t think Ryan will have much production this week as both teams like to keep the football on the ground. Look to Joe Flacco as a much better option to use in this matchup.
Knowshon Moreno vs Chiefs: The Broncos have changed their offensive line around this week to gear up the running attack. Kyle Orton and the passing game are playing well but the end result for the Broncos is a poor record so far.
If Denver has any hopes of having a strong second half, they need to run the football and keep their defense off the field. After the bye week, Moreno is supposed to be in good health and will get lots of work this week.
Joseph Addai vs Bengals: This should be a good matchup for any running back but if Joseph Addai should play this week I would keep him on the bench. Expect the Colts to slowly work Addai back into his starting role as he’s battling two bad shoulders.
Nate Washington @ Dolphins: If you’re looking for a bye week fill in option that could provide help for your team, give Nate Washington a look. Percy Harvin came back to fantasy relevance right after the Vikings traded for Randy Moss.
Now that Moss is with the Titans, I would expect Washington to build on his week eight success against the Dolphins.
Pierre Garcon vs Bengals: Sure Pierre Garcon could have a big game this week, but he’s just not putting up the consistent numbers that give fantasy owners confidence in starting him every week.
Garcon has the talent to be a starting fantasy receiver and with all the injuries in Indianapolis, he should be better than last weeks two catch fifteen yard performance. Look to Garcon as only an emergency option as he’s tends to fade away in this offense at times.
