Defensive Lineman
DE – Spencer Johnson: Don’t look to Spencer Johnson as a solution worth having weekly. Still, Johnson played well last week with more playing time and should get a chance to produce against the Lions next week.
Johnson makes for a decent bye week fill in for week ten.
DT Antonio Garay: If you start defensive tackles in your league than it’s time to look at Chargers nose tackle Antonio Garay as an option for the future. This week Garay is on a bye week, but he’s posted four sacks this season and has racked up a decent tackle total recently.
Linebackers
Quincy Black: This offseason the Buccaneers coaching staff felt linebacker Quincy Black was a potential breakout player for 2010. Of late, Black has been showing signs of picking it up and could be a useful stash for future weeks.
The Buccaneers may have lost last week but they still have much to play for and Black should help them along the way.
Stephin Nicholas: With Sean Weatherspoon out of action, Stephin Nicholas hasn’t played all that bad of late. Weatherspoon is likely to be out again this week so Nicholas should make for a decent bye week option.
Defensive Backs
Devin McCourty: The Patriots young corner back continues to progress and make plays. New England’s defense is still going through growing pains, and McCourty will continue to get opportunities to make plays for your IDP squad.
Tim Jennings: Charles Tillman is a favorite of many IDP fantasy owners for help at corner back. Of late it has been counter part Tim Jennings that is also making noise and is worth a look for your team.
