Week 14 IDP Start’em Sit’em – Playoff Edition
It’s time to get ready for the IDP fantasy football playoffs. Take a look a the players below for an idea of which players are worth starting and sitting this week.
Justin Smith vs Seahawks: The 49ers have been a horrible disappointment this football season but Justin Smith continues to be a reliable player on the front line. The Seahawks offensive line is shaky and Smith should have a strong game in this one.
Lamarr Houston @ Jaguars: The Raiders’ rookie lineman Lamarr Houston had himself a strong off-season and has turned his production on in the past three games. Look for Houston to rackup a decent tackle total and if the Jaguars fall behind, Houston may add a sack.
Chris Long vs Saints: Even though Chris Long has done a decent job in sacks of late he’s just not adding enough tackles to be an effective option weekly. Drew Brees has good presence in the pocket, and it will be hard for Long to get much done.
Paris Lenon vs Broncos: The Cardinals have officially packed in the season as they are completely inept on offense. Look for Paris Lenon to stay active as the Cardinals’ defense will be on the field most of the game.
David Hawthorne @ 49ers: It seems that David Hawthorne is much like Jonathan Stewart of the Carolina Panthers. Both players love to show up in December, and Hawthorne has been on fire of late. Expect another double digit tackle game against the 49ers.
Kevin Burnett vs Chiefs: Wow, it didn’t take long for all the momentum the Chargers gained by beating the Colts to go down the drain against the Raiders. Beat up and puzzled, Kevin Burnett isn’t worth a play this week as the Chiefs will keep the football on the ground.
Craig Dahl vs Saints: The Rams secondary is on fire for IDP fantasy owners. Craig Dahl is at the top of the list as he is eligible as a corner back in many leagues and should continue to have a strong season against the Saints.
DeAngelo Hall: One of the top overall scoring defensive backs is having a rough time giving IDP fantasy owners production of late. If you look at Hall’s overall scoring this year he had one huge game against the Bears and that accounts for a bunch of his production. In the past three weeks, Hall has failed to make plays and isn’t racking up a decent tackle total.
Earl Thomas @ 49ers: The 49ers should be able to keep the football on the ground much like the Panthers last week. Earl Thomas is worth using but only when the Seahawks face a pass friendly team.
