2011 Top Shortstops for MLB Fantasy Baseball Drafts
One never knows how the season will turn out in the end but this years’ class of decent shortstops is low. After Hanley Ramirez, I can’t say any shortstop on this list is a true stud.
Troy Tulowitzki tends to put good numbers up by the end of the season but his first half numbers are usually horrible. Jimmy Rollins has left much to be desired over the past few seasons and Derek Jeter has a tone of mileage on those legs.
Another talent like Jose Reyes should be one of the more trust worthy players because of his speed, age and overall skill. Unfortunately as all MLB fantasy baseball owners know by now, Reyes is a big health concern.
Personally, if I can’t acquire Ramirez early, I will probably drop down in my drafts and select Alexei Ramirez or maybe even Elvis Andrus.
We will be very active throughout the coming months as we get set for MLB spring training, and another fun filled season of MLB fantasy baseball. Be on the lookout for future articles for shortstops and more.
