Designated Hitters 2011 Projected Stats
The 2011 MLB fantasy baseball season is getting closer, and it’s time to start looking at projected stats for your favorite designated hitter prospects. Below you will see that we have projected stats for mixed league and AL-only designated hitters in categories of at bats, home runs, runs batted in, runs scored, stolen bases and batting average.
Vladimir Guerrero posted a great stat line last season with the Rangers but a poor finish led to teams not trusting him for the money, he wanted this off-season. Look for Guerrero to put up another solid season this year as he’s looking for another one year contract and wants to show he can last a full season.
Other designated hitters who should have strong seasons are David Ortiz of the Red Sox and Adam Lind of the Blue Jays. Ortiz, like Guerrero, is also looking to have a big season in order to land a solid contract. The Red Sox didn’t offer Ortiz a new contract this off-season and only pickup his one year option.
Ortiz played it cool in the press but his under tones in his comments, suggested he was disappointed with the team after he had a good year in 2010.
