Outfielders 2011 Projected Stats – AL Only Leagues
It’s time to get ready for your AL only fantasy baseball draft and below you will find 2011 projected stats for a few outfielders we’ve selected. While we feel these are the top outfielders to go after at your draft, they certainly aren’t all the eligible options at this position.
One team you will hear me talk up for fantasy baseball this season is the Baltimore Orioles. The team has brought in some good veteran talent in the hitting departments and a solid coaching staff. Because the Orioles were so bad last season, all players on this team will come at a value as their ADP values are down.
While I don’t believe they have the pitching to play around .500 in the AL East, they should play some spirited baseball and hit well. Look to Adam Jones and Nick Markakis as good value picks for AL only fantasy baseball drafts.
Another outfielder who should bounce back is Yankees Curtis Granderson as he was rebuilding his swing last year and finally found his groove at the end of the season.
Granderson hit well in September and was great in the post season. Expect the veteran outfielder to carry his success over to the start of this season.
One outfielder who should play down from last years numbers is MVP Josh Hamilton as his health is always a concern. Hamilton should see a hefty dip in his batting average, as he was way over his career average last season.
Fellow teammate, Nelson Cruz is actually a better selection as his ADP is at a much lower range and like Hamilton, he has great hitting skills to put up strong power numbers.
