Outfielders 2011 Projected Stats
The 2011 MLB fantasy baseball season is getting closer, and it’s time to start looking at projected stats for your favorite outfielders prospects. Below you will see that we have projected stats for mixed league outfielders in categories of at bats, home runs, runs batted in, runs scored, stolen bases and batting average.
Big bust outfielders tend to take a plunge in the next years’ fantasy rankings. Jacoby Ellsbury is one of those players as an injury cost him most of the season last year, and he was a clear No.2 outfielder drafted for many squads. This season we have Ellsbury as a bounce back candidate as the Red Sox have one of their best lineups, since they won their World Series titles a few years ago.
Look to Ellsbury as a player who may see an ADP spike as we get close to the season as long as he gets through spring training healthy. That should happen and I do believe Ellsbury will return to at least 45 stolen bases this season. Because the team has star power like David Ortiz, Adrian Gonzalez and Carl Crawford, Ellsbury should benefit by scoring more runs and driving in more runs than in previous full seasons.
As much as it pains me to say this (big Giants fan) I believe Matt Kemp and Andre Ethier should also see a bounce back season. Last year was hell on the Dodgers as their owners are going through a nasty divorce and the drama spilled over to the club house. With a year behind them and some younger energy in the coaching staff, the young star outfielders should get back to stats like they posted in 2009.
