Second Baseman 2011 Projected Stats
The 2011 MLB fantasy baseball season is getting closer, and it’s time to start looking at projected stats for your favorite second baseman prospects. Below you will see that we have projected stats for mixed league second baseman in categories of at bats, home runs, runs batted in, runs scored, stolen bases and batting average.
Rickie Weeks broke out last season as was a great value pick for fantasy baseball owners. While I do believe he will have a solid season once again, I’m concerned that he won’t hit a solid batting average.
Look to Brian Roberts as a comeback player this season as he returned from injury and played well to end the year in 2010. The Orioles have added a solid coaching staff and some key veterans in the off-season.
This should allow Roberts to score more runs and steal more bases this season.
One second baseman that could have a breakout season is Gordon Beckham of the White Sox. The former first round pick has admitted this is a big year for his career. Expect Beckham to come in focused and ready to make an impact for a team that could challenge the Twins in the AL Central.
