Second Baseman 2011 Projected Stats AL Only Leagues
It’s time to get ready for your AL only fantasy baseball draft and below you will find 2011 projected stats for a few second baseman we’ve selected. While we feel these are the top second baseman to go after at your draft, they certainly aren’t all the eligible options at this position.
Dustin Pedroia hasn’t been the same hitter he was in his MVP season a few years ago. While Pedroia will never be a great option for home runs, he should see a bounce back season in 2011. Whether the Red Sox hitters want to admit it or not they’ve been hurting ever since Manny Ramirez left the team. With Ramirez, you had a player who could drive in runs and force pitchers to give hitters like Pedroia and David Ortiz better pitch’s to hit.
Now, the Red Sox have added Carl Crawford and Adrian Gonzalez to the mix. Of the two, it is Gonzalez that should help Pedroia and others the most as he brings that calm, steady bad to the lineup they need so much.
One second baseman AL only fantasy baseball owners should target in the later rounds is White Sox Gordon Beckham. Even the former first round pick admitted this off-season that 2011 was an important season in his career. Look for Beckham to be focused this season and play some good baseball.
