Shortstops 2011 Projected Stats

The 2011 MLB fantasy baseball season is getting closer, and it time to start looking at projected stats for your favorite shortstop prospects. Below you will see that we have projected stats for mixed league shortstop in categories of at bats, home runs, runs batted in, runs scored, stolen bases and batting average.

Unlike many positions for 2011 MLB fantasy baseball drafts, shortstop has a clear number one option that is head and shoulders above the rest and that is Hanley Ramirez of the Marlins.

Troy Tulowitzki is talented but he should be knocked by all fantasy owners because he tends to start out seasons at a horrible pace. A true fantasy stud, needs to be strong from the start of the season to the end and Ramirez is that player.

Not only does Ramirez have solid power, but he can also steal over 30 bases and hit well over 300 on the season. Sure, Ramirez may not drive in over 100 runs but that is a minor problem when you look at the production he gives, every year, and how it dwarfs others at shortstop.
