2011 Quarterback Free Agents

San Francisco 49ers v Philadelphia Eagles

The top free agent quarterbacks won’t go anywhere as the Colts and Eagles will retain rights to Peyton Manning and Michael Vick with their franchise tags. Look for both players to get big contracts at some point but those deal may not come until the season begins or next year.

For the most part, you will usually find old veteran quarterbacks like Matt Hasselbeck or bust talents like Alex Smith as some of the top free agents at this position, each year. No team wants to let a true starting quarterback walk away from nothing and that is why teams like the 49ers, Panthers, Vikings and others will have to find their future quarterback in house, via trade or at the draft.

Below we have a listing of the top free agent quarterbacks that are worth noting for the up coming off-season. We have each players projected age coming into this season and what team they played for last season. When we get updates on where these players have signed, we will update their section at that time.
