The Oakland A’s have one of the best young pitching staffs in baseball once again, and Gio Gonzalez is ready for a breakout season. Gonzalez has been hot to start the spring and has the kind of stuff that could make him the top pitcher on this team for fantasy baseball purposes.

Trevor Cahill and Brett Anderson are also quality options, but they don’t have the strikeout upside that Gonzalez possesses.

One pitcher who is going to watch his ADP value rise is White Sox veteran Jake Peavy as he was impressive in his first spring game against the Angels. Peavy wasn’t expected to be ready until a couple of months into the season, but clearly he will be with the team (assuming he has no setbacks) on Opening Day.
