Chargers Draft Needs
WR, OT, ILB, DE, SS
Selections
1st round, 18th pick: San Diego Chargers Select: DL Corey Liuget
This was a good move for the Chargers as they need help on the front line but Liuget will probably play on the end in the 3-4 defense.
Draft Grade: B-
50. Cornerback Marcus Gilchrist
Another defender to build up a defense that found success under now head coach of the Panthers Ron Rivera. Not a bad pick as Gilchrist can help as a corner or a safety.
61. Linebacker Jonas Mouton
More depth on defense and much like the Texans the Chargers took three defensive players in the first two rounds of the draft.
82. Wide Receiver Vincent Brown
Another weapon for Philip Rivers in the passing game. I’m sure he will make plays every once in awhile and help Rivers add to his stats.
89. Cornerback Shareece Wright
Back to the defense in this draft as the add to depth in the secondary.
183. Running Back Jordan Todman
201. Offensive Lineman Steve Schilling
234. Outside Linebacker Andrew Gachkar
