Wide Receivers: Projected Stats

While Dez Bryant is only in his second year in the NFL, it already looks as if he’s going to carry the torch handed down from great talents but trouble stars Terrell Owens and Randy Moss. Hopefully, I’m dead wrong and the optimism that Bryant’s teammates seem to have for him at this time, will help him mature into one of the games’ elite receivers, each and every season in his hopefully long career. It doesn’t take long to see that Bryant has the type of ability and plays with the type of team that could make him a potential top five receiver in 2011. That said, Bryant is still a raw talent and coupled with his health problems from last season, I have his numbers scaled back to more of a top fifteen option coming into the season.
It will be interesting to see how Bryant does this season but in the end, he is just one of the over 100 receivers we have listed for projected stats this season. Throughout the summer, we will be updating this page (and each players profile) for current projected expectations. Because free agency won’t happen until July, we have the makings for the wildest summer of all time for fantasy football.
The process for ranking our projected stats is based on multiple factors and some of them are the players’ upside, risk, weather factors, strength of schedule, projected effectiveness of their offense, skill players and quality of depth on the roster. Be sure to listen to our podcast for more insightful information about our projected stats on this page. For more podcast, you can go to our fantasy philosophers home page where we will update you will current news to help you throughout the season.
