IDP Projected Stats – Linebackers

The Houston Texans are set to change their defensive scheme from a 4-3 to a 3-4 as Wade Phillips takes over as the new Defensive Coordinator. With this change, star strong-side linebacker Brian Cushing is projected to lineup with DeMeco Ryans as an inside linebacker, which will help him continue to be a force in IDP fantasy football leagues.
While I’ve seen Cushing ranked outside the top 25 linebackers for certain styles of IDP play, I have him as a top ten linebacker to select this season. Cushing has a nose for the football and with Ryans coming back from a major injury (Achilles), I don’t believe he will be a full speed this season. Look to Cushing to return to possibly out do his outstanding rookie numbers.

The process for ranking our projected stats is based on multiple factors and some of them are the players’ upside and possible health risks.
