IDP Projected Stats – Defensive Backs

Expectations were high for 2010 rookie safety Eric Berry to be an instant impact IDP force, and while he started slow, Berry came on in the second half, and helped IDP owners down the stretch. While Berry only had four tackles during Championship Weekend, it was his pick six that helped make the difference for many owners’ chances to seal the deal, and win their leagues.
Berry posted 92 tackles in all last season, and I expect that number to grow, as I have his projected for 117 tackles (99 solos), five interceptions, 14 pass deflections, and two and a half sacks on the season. Maybe these are bullish numbers but Berry has the talent to not only rack up over 110 tackles, but make enough plays in the open field, to be a worthy top ten defensive back at 2011 IDP fantasy football drafts.

The process for ranking our projected stats is based on multiple factors and some of them are the players’ upside and possible health risks.
