Tight End ADP’s – PPR Leagues
CLICK HERE FOR OUR CURRENT FANTASY DRAFT INFORMATION
While Antonio Gates is still the top tight end going in recent mock drafts, it’s hard to believe that he will play a full sixteen games this year. At least Gates found the practice field over the weekend and reportedly had a smile on his face after his workout was complete.
For those of you that are familiar with ESPN’s podcast the Fantasy Focus, physical therapist Stephania Bell comes onto the show, every Thursday, and I recommend you listen to her latest talk about Gates, from last Thursday’s show on the August 11th. Bell basically points out that Gates has had a long history of foot problems, and even though he will find his way back to the field, it’s likely that these issues could come back at some point.
If you must have Gates on draft day, it’s advisable that you feel good about acquiring a cheep tight end with upside later in your draft. Options like Rob Gronkowski, Kevin Boss, Brandon Pettigrew, Brent Celek (will be used more with Maclin out), or even Fred Davis if Chris Cooley has continued knee problems, are possible options late in the draft. The point is you need to be ready with a reliable option if Gates, is a game-time decision and can’t go, as was the case down the stretch of last season.
Below you will find Fantasy Football Calculator’s recent ADP trends for 12 team PPR leagues. This information is updated daily so head over to the their site, and I also recommend you partake in a mock draft or two, as they have a nice hosting site to test out various theories before your real draft begins.
