Week 8 Player Ranking Updates (Podcast)

Already at the half way point in the fantasy football season, it’s time to take a look at some of the top surprises and biggest disappointments this year in our latest podcast. Cam Newton was at the top of Matt De Lima’s list of surprise players, as it looked like the Panthers were set to go run heavy this year, after re-signing DeAngelo Williams to a big contract in August.

Obviously, things didn’t turn out like many expected as Carolina allowed Newton to, “air it out” and learn on the fly, even without a full off-season to get ready. Newton should continue to produce at a top five fantasy quarterback level as Carolina is an average team at best, and they need Newton to play great in order to win games.
