Brandon Jacobs vs. Eagles -

Tom Coughlin continues to have a wait and see approach to Ahmad Brashaw’s bum foot, and as long as the shifty play maker is out of the lineup, power back Brandon Jacobs should be in PPR fantasy lineups. Jacobs may not catch many receptions, but he will be the main runner in the offense and will likely carry a majority of the load, even if Bradshaw is available this week.

Coming off a tough loss in San Francisco, the Giants should get the running game back on track against one of the worst run defenses in football, as the Eagles continue to struggle.

Jackie Battle @ Patriots –

While Jackie Battle remains as a top twenty option this week, fantasy owners might be better off rolling the dice with Kendall Hunter or even Lance Ball. It’s not that Battle has played poor, but the Chiefs seem content to give up on the ground game even when they are only down by ten points, like last week against the Broncos.

If Matt Cassel was still playing, I would’ve listed Battle a little lower, but with Tyler Palko running the offense, it’s likely the Chiefs will stick with the run longer, even if they fall behind early to the Patriots.

DeMarco Murray @ Redskins -

Yes, we’ve come to the point where DeMarco Murray should be considered one of the elite RB-1 players going forward. Murray continues to play outstanding football, and if giving the Cowboys a presence on the ground not seen in years. Even Owner Jerry Jones came out today and announced that Murray would remain the teams’ workhorse, when Flex Jones finally comes back from his ankle injury.

The Cowboys have a favorable schedule going forward and Murray’s matchups against the Redskins and Dolphins in the next weeks’ time, shouldn’t hurt his numbers. As I pointed out when talking about Murray as a waiver wire pickup weeks ago, this young tail back had over 70 receptions last year in college, and in recent weeks he’s picked up his performance in the passing game. For those of you that grabbed Murray off the waiver wire, or stashed him in rookie dynasty drafts this summer, congratulations, you have a solid running back for years to come, or at least for the rest of this season.
