10-Team PPR Mock Draft Results: 3rd Round

Looking over the third round of this 10-team PPR mock draft, and it’s nice to see all the value on the board at this point.

One player some may shy away from is Fred Jackson because of the play of C.J. Spiller last December, but expect the veteran to receive most of the work on the ground. The Bills may not go to the playoffs this year, but they will be a competitive team again, and that will keep Jackson a high end RB2 in PPR leagues.

Round-By-Round Results – 1st | 2nd | 3rd | 4th | 5th | Cheat Sheets |

21. Rob Gronkowski (ADP 2.07)-

The Patriots will have their hands tied with some of the issues they have on the offensive line, but Brady shouldn’t have a problem finding Gronkowski for double digit touchdowns.

It appears the Patriots star tight end has recovered from his ankle injury at the end of last season and should have another elite performance at the tight end position for fantasy leagues.

22. Doug Martin (ADP 3.07)-

If Martin can hold onto a three down role throughout the season, he will be a steal in the third round. Martin has the ability to go off for big numbers and should thrive even though guard Davin Joseph is lost for the season.

23. Brandon Marshall (ADP 3.03)-

Perhaps Marshall will never clean his act up off the field, but he still has terrific chemistry with Jay Cutler on it. In PPR leagues, Marshall is worth a look in the second round, but if you can grab him at this point it would be a solid value.

24. Larry Fitzgerald (ADP 3.01)-

Not a big fan of Fitzgerald this season,  with a horrible offensive line and a concerning situation at quarterback. Look for Fitzgerald to give you respectable points weekly, but don’t expect many big time performances.

25. Fred Jackson (ADP 3.01)-

Jackson has looked terrific in the preseason and it appears he ready for another great year. The Bills offense fits him well, and while C.J. Spiller will be more active in the offense, he still struggles to run in-between the tackles.

Jackson will continue to be the lead option in the run game for Buffalo, and his reception points makes him a solid third-round pick in PPR leagues.

26. Steven Jackson (ADP 2.10)-

An injury waiting to happen, Jackson is still a solid runner but the Rams are likely to finish no better than five wins on the season. Bradford appears to be headed in the right direction, which is very important for Jackson weekly numbers.

If Bradford can keep the chains moving on third downs, look for Jackson to hold early RB2 value. Just be prepared if he should go down for a time.

27. Cam Newton (ADP 3.07)-

Steve Smith has a foot injury we need to keep an eye on but Newton will continue to develop as a passer, with or without his star receiver. What separates Newton from other elite quarterbacks is his ability to run and score in the red zone.

We shouldn’t expect 14 rushing touchdowns but his floor is likely around eight in the early portion of his career.

28. Andre Johnson (ADP 3.08)-

After suffering a minor injury to start camp, Johnson has remained (knock on wood) on the field and healthy. The Texans have some underrated young receivers, but this passing game isn’t the same without a dominate Johnson on the outside.

When healthy, Johnson is still a top five receiver in all fantasy leagues.

29. Roddy White (ADP 3.09)-

Jones may take over as the most valuable receiver in Atlanta for fantasy leagues but expect White to lead the team in receptions again. That said, we shouldn’t expect 100 receptions this year as the Falcons are expected to spread the football out.

30. Greg Jennings (ADP 4.02)-

Concussion problems early in camp are concerning for Jennings fantasy owners. If he should sustain another concussion during the season, it could keep him out for some time. If not, he’s a WR1 caliber fantasy option, but I would target Jordy Nelson first.
