2012 Touchdown Only – Heavy Leagues Cheat Sheet

When you place emphasis on touchdowns as the main source for production, fantasy values are going to change from the normal rankings you will find around the web and in draft magazines.

Knowing your rules is essential to properly gauge the values of each option in your league. While options like Michael Vick and Robert Griffin have potential to be top five stars in traditional scoring leagues, they may fall short to other options like Peyton Manning and Philip Rivers if they have an off year in rushing touchdowns.

Cam Newton’s 14 rushing touchdowns from his rookie season was a ridiculous total that is sure to come down. That said, I like his odds to throw more touchdowns than Vick.

What Newton and Griffin will display over their career’s that Vick has lacked is the ability to play within the pocket. Maybe we should view Griffin as a QB2 in his rookie year, but he can be a future top five option in touchdown only and touchdown heavy leagues.
