Week 1 – WR Rankings

It’s going to be a difficult challenge for any NFL secondary to cover both Julio Jones and Roddy White. The first week of the season Atlanta will head out to Kansas City to take on the Chiefs.
Already problems are brewing in a Chiefs secondary that lost theirs starting free safety for the season a few weeks ago and are holding out hope top corner Brandon Flowers will be ready for the game.
Even if Flowers is out of action, this will be a close game as the Falcons will be playing in a difficult environment and I expect the Chiefs to win in time of possession with Peyton Hillis and Jamaal Charles running the football.
Still, we could see some big plays from the Falcons star receivers and both are candidates for over 100 yards and a score this week.
Cutler To Marshall
Expect the former Denver Broncos teammates to get things started the right way week one as the Bears play a weak Colts secondary. Maybe this game won’t be a blow out but that will depend on Andrew Luck to keep his team in the game.
Expect the Bears to put up 35 plus on one of the weaker deafness in football and Marshall should have one of the top performances from the wide receiver position.
Sean’s Watch List
I’m curious to see how Justin Blackmon performs against a weak Vikings secondary. The rookie has had a rough off-season but in weeks two and three of the preseason he looked good. Coach Mike Mularkey will move Blackmon around in the formation and I even saw one play against the Ravens, where they hand him lined up at the traditional tight end position.
We should also watch the battle between Darrelle Revis and Stevie Johnson close. Last time these two matched up Johnson got the better of Revis, but an dumb touchdown celebration and lack of execution on the final drive spoiled his performance.
