Week 15 – Flex Play Rankings

Finally! Dynasty owners like myself with David Wilson on their bench have been waiting for the ultra talented rookie to receive an opportunity to show case what he can do. Earlier in the season he had a long touchdown run against the Browns, but because of early fumbling issues and pass protection concerns, Andre Brown moved past Wilson on the depth chart.
Brown was placed on injured reserve a few weeks back and the Giants countered with Craig Lumpkin as added depth. Lumpkin saw a few snaps against the Redskins, but the Giants decided to use Ahmad Bradshaw as the teams feature back again as a counter to the Brown’s injury, rather than working Wilson in as a committee back.
Because of an injury to Bradshaw last week, the Giants were forced into using Wilson more and the rookie responded with a huge performance. Beyond his kickoff return heroics, Wilson carried the football 13 times for 100-yards and two touchdowns.
Both touchdown runs were impressive. The first came early in the third quarter as he collided with a linebacker in the hole and drove him back, carrying him as he stretched the football over the goal-line. A clear demonstration of Wilson’s power.
On the second touchdown Wilson did a nice job of showing off his kick returning skills as he set up a Saints safety by taking a few steps towards the middle of the field, forcing the defender to commit and then he bounced back to the outside and turned on the jets.
Wilson even impressed the crowd with a couple back flips in celebration on his 52-yard touchdown run, and his 97-yard kickoff return touchdown. Consider Wilson a must start down the stretch as Bradshaw will have to labor through injuries. We should expect the rookie to play in a committee split and will be the “closer” in the fourth quarter going forward.
Expect Dez Bryant To Play
Because of all the news about Dez Bryant’s availability this week, I’ve left him off the list below. According to Josina Anderson of ESPN.com , unless doctor’s tell him he can’t play we should expect Bryant on the field and fantasy owners would be wise to keep him in the lineup if he’s active. The finger injury shouldn’t limit his play, so expect him to remain a WR1 against a beatup Steelers secondary.
