Fantasy Football Outlook: Only time will tell if we will see Lattimore suit up for an NFL game in 2013, but with Coach Jim Harbaugh wanting him to slow down his rehab, it doesn’t look good in the short term.

Why should San Francisco play him when they have Frank Gore, Kendall Hunter and LaMichael James on the depth chart already? That shouldn’t and it’s the wise play after Lattimore suffered two knee injuries in college, the last one looking like that of the career ending variety.

In fact, that last injury was so horrific it’s amazing where we have come with knee surgeries and rehab that this guy can even walk around like normal for the rest of his life.

Like everyone else I want to see Lattimore make a comeback and if he can get close to what he was before his last injury, he will replace Gore in the starting lineup in a few years down the road.

Still a top five running back to consider in rookie dynasty drafts this spring and summer for the long term, but obviously, stay away from him in redraft leagues.
