2013 Fantasy Outlook: Jared Cook
Jared Cook | St. Louis Rams | TE

Fantasy Football Outlook: Cook showed flashes of a potential stud for fantasy leagues through his time in Tennessee. Not your typical inline option, Cook will be a better fit with the Rams as Sam Bradford has the arm-strength to attack vertically, utilizing Cooks downfield ability.
With a host of young weapons in the Rams offense, don’t look to Cook as a tight end that will accumulate more than around 60 receptions a season but he should be viewed as a boardline TE1 option. A better fit in standard and big-play leagues, Cook has a chance to be a weekly starter in fantasy leagues if he can provide enough consistent points to justify his starting spot.
He will have to do that as we have a deep group of tight ends with TE2 ability and some of those options will emerge as TE1 worthy players, off the waiver wire. If you go with Cook as a mid-round draft pick to start on your team consider that fair value, just make sure you don’t stick with him too long if others are getting the job done on the waiver wire and Cook fails to thrive, early on.

Summer of 2012: Fantasy Projection
Why do I feel like I’m Al Pacino in Godfather three when it comes to Jared Cook.
“Just when I think I’m done with Cook; he pulls me back in!”
A talent for sure, Cook either has a penchant for playing well at the end of the season, or he’s finally figured things out (post Jan. 11th). Cook was a monster in the closing weeks, but because of his inconsistent play, it’s likely only fantasy owners in deep leagues, even considered playing him in the playoffs.
With the addition of Kendall Wright and Kenny Britt coming back from an ACL injury, Cook is suddenly a part of what looks to be a potential star-filled lineup. If Jake Locker can build in his success from a year ago, we could see this passing attack come out of nowhere.
Target Cook as a high end TE2 on draft day, and if he has found his groove, he should be a top ten at his position, with upside for big plays.
