Fantasy Football Outlook: The Cowboys started off with a with a strong performance in New York against the Giants. After both Romo and the team struggled through the first half of the season.
That was tough for me as I have him in a 16 team dynasty league (53 men on a roster) and I forced to start him every week as I decided to keep Ryan Tannehill on the taxi squad until this season.
Thankfully most of you weren’t in that position but things got better for Romo in the second half of the season as Dez Bryant finally developed into the star his talent suggested he could be coming out of college. Bryant proved he was willing to play through injury and at a high level, but it’s his recent attitude change off the field that gives me hope for this team.
Let’s hope he’s ready because Bryant keeps Romo in the conversation to be a weekly starting QB1 in fantasy leagues and will be a key part of the Cowboys hopes for the playoffs. Look to Romo as one of the top 12 quarterbacks to draft in fantasy leagues.
His offensive line should improve as offensive line coach Bill Callahan is in his second year with the team, and the running game and defense won’t be strengths of the team, setting up Dallas to throw the football to win games.
