<p><script src="http://cdn.pis.picapp.com/IamProd/PicAppPIS/JavaScript/PisV4.js" type="text/javascript"></script>San Diego is starting to put things together as they have now won four games in a row. This week they beat another formidable opponent and have a chance to take the division lead next week against the <a href="http://www.fantasy-info.com/search/label/*Broncos">Broncos</a>.</p>
<p><span style="font-weight: bold; color: #330099;">LT&#8217;s Not Done Yet</span></p>
<p>This past week I wrote a column saying <a href="http://www.fantasy-info.com/search/label/LaDainian_Tomlinson">LaDainian Tomlinson</a> was washed up and done as a fantasy football running back. I considered him to be nothing more than a flex play for the rest of the season and I felt the <a href="http://www.fantasy-info.com/search/label/*Chargers">Chargers</a> would let him go at year&#8217;s end.</p>
<p>Today Tomlinson had a much better game than we&#8217;ve seen from him this entire season as he had two touchdowns and 96 yards on the ground.</p>
<div style="float: right; margin-left: 5px;"><a href="http://view.picapp.com/default.aspx?term=LaDainian%20Tomlinson&amp;iid=7056048" target="_blank"><img style="width: 168px; height: 215px;" src="http://cdn.picapp.com/ftp/Images/a/4/c/4/Philadelphia_Eagles_v_8931.jpg?adImageId=7510759&amp;imageId=7056048" border="0" alt="Philadelphia Eagles v San Diego Chargers" /></a></div>
<p><script src="http://cdn.pis.picapp.com/IamProd/PicAppPIS/JavaScript/PisV4.js" type="text/javascript"></script><br />
Unless this game marks a 180 degree turnaround for Tomlinson I would suspect that he may have games like this from time to time. Beyond that don&#8217;t be surprised if he has some bad games as well.</p>
<p><span style="font-weight: bold; color: #339999;">Donovan McNabb Has 450 Yards Passing</span></p>
<p>The <a href="http://www.fantasy-info.com/search/label/*Eagles">Eagles</a> were a pass happy team in this game as <a href="http://www.fantasy-info.com/search/label/Donovan_McNabb">Donovan McNabb</a> had 55 pass attempts for the game. This team may have run the ball more often, but they got down early and were forced into throwing more than usual.</p>
<p>For the game McNabb had 450 yards passing and had two touchdown passes.</p>
<p>While the Eagles have been a heavy passing team this year they will probably have to continue to pass now that <a href="http://www.fantasy-info.com/search/label/Brian_Westbrook">Brian Westbrook</a> suffered another concussion.</p>
<p>Westbrook may very well be done for the season and the team will have to lean on<a href="http://www.fantasy-info.com/search/label/LeSean_McCoy"> LeSean McCoy</a> for rushing production going forward.</p>

<p><script src="http://cdn.pis.picapp.com/IamProd/PicAppPIS/JavaScript/PisV4.js" type="text/javascript"></script>This season has truly been a breakout year for <a href="http://www.fantasy-info.com/search/label/*Eagles">Philadelphia Eagles</a> tight end <a href="http://www.nfl.com/players/profile?id=CEL251361">Brent Celek</a>. With such are solid performance one has to question why Celek wasn&#8217;t a full time start before this year?</p>
<p>One of the reasons Celek wasn&#8217;t used more often in his first two years is because <a href="http://www.nfl.com/players/l.j.smith/profile?id=SMI423798">L.J. Smith</a> was still with the team. Towards the end of last season and in the playoffs Celek proved why he was a worthy every week starter to head coach <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Andy_Reid">Andy Reid</a>.</p>
<p>In the offseason Smith left and signed with the <a href="http://www.fantasy-info.com/search/label/*Ravens">Ravens</a>, leaving the door open for Celek to start full time.</p>
<p><span style="font-weight: bold; color: #006600;">Taking Flight</span></p>
<p>This summer I liked the explosion that the Eagles&#8217; offense was putting together for the big play. <a href="http://www.fantasy-info.com/search/label/Donovan_McNabb">Donovan McNabb</a> has always been good at throwing the football vertically and with <a href="http://www.fantasy-info.com/search/label/DeSean_Jackson">DeSean Jackson</a> and <a href="http://www.fantasy-info.com/search/label/Jeremy_Maclin">Jeremy Maclin</a> at receiver, I figured this team would excel down the field.</p>
<p>My main question (outside of <a href="http://www.fantasy-info.com/search/label/Brian_Westbrook">Brian Westbrook&#8217;s</a> health) was, &#8220;how would the Eagles find a steady target inside the red zone. &#8221;</p>
<p>The natural answer to this question pointed to the Eagles new starting tight end Celek as he had the size that the Eagles&#8217; receivers lacked for success in close quarters.</p>
<p><object classid="clsid:d27cdb6e-ae6d-11cf-96b8-444553540000" width="340" height="285" codebase="http://download.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/cabs/flash/swflash.cab#version=6,0,40,0"><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true" /><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always" /><param name="src" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/IRD6cvP665M&amp;hl=en_US&amp;fs=1&amp;color1=0x234900&amp;color2=0x4e9e00&amp;border=1" /><param name="allowfullscreen" value="true" /><embed type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="340" height="285" src="http://www.youtube.com/v/IRD6cvP665M&amp;hl=en_US&amp;fs=1&amp;color1=0x234900&amp;color2=0x4e9e00&amp;border=1" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true"></embed></object></p>
<p>So far, Celek is providing that target for McNabb and is on his way to the pro bowl (probably not, but he deserves it) if he continues this success.</p>
<p>In his first eight games of the year Celek has 40 receptions for 486 yards and four touchdowns. This means he is on pace for a total of 80 receptions for 972 yards and eight touchdowns this season.</p>
<p>Not only is Celek having a solid year for his team, but he is making fantasy football owners smile with steady production throughout the season.</p>
<p><span style="font-weight: bold; color: #006600;">Fantasy Football Player Rankings for Brent Celek</span></p>
<p>Look for Celek to continue this strong play throughout the second half of the fantasy football season. The Eagles have a huge need for what he provides in the middle of the field and down inside the red zone.</p>
<div style="float: right; margin-left: 5px;"><a href="http://view.picapp.com/default.aspx?term=Brent%20Celek&amp;iid=7005944" target="_blank"><img style="width: 188px; height: 188px;" src="http://cdn.picapp.com/ftp/Images/9/4/5/6/Eagles_vs_Cowboys_0ccd.JPG?adImageId=7399012&amp;imageId=7005944" border="0" alt="Eagles vs. Cowboys" /></a></div>
<p><script src="http://cdn.pis.picapp.com/IamProd/PicAppPIS/JavaScript/PisV4.js" type="text/javascript"></script><br />
Hopefully, the Eagles offensive line will get better over the course of the next month as this will help McNabb and Celek continue their strong production.</p>
<p>Celek may or may not reach 1,000 yards receiving this season, but I do believe he has a chance to score double digit touchdowns this year.</p>

<p><script src="http://cdn.pis.picapp.com/IamProd/PicAppPIS/JavaScript/PisV4.js" type="text/javascript"></script>This was a big game for both teams as a victory would mean the lead in the NFC East. While the game was close throughout the <a href="http://www.fantasy-info.com/search/label/*Cowboys">Cowboys</a> had the answer in the end and one on a touchdown pass to <a href="http://www.fantasy-info.com/search/label/Miles_Austin">Miles Austin</a>.</p>
<p><span style="font-weight: bold; color: #333399;">Cowboys Role to First Place</span></p>
<p>Last year the Cowboys were crushed at the end of the season when they went to Philadelphia and played the <a href="http://www.fantasy-info.com/search/label/*Eagles">Eagles</a>. This time around Dallas won the game 20 to 16 and now have a four game winning streak.</p>
<p>This winning streak has been headlined by emerging No.1 receiver Austin Miles and his terrific play. Ever since his monster game against the <a href="http://www.fantasy-info.com/search/label/*Chiefs">Chiefs</a>, Miles has been almost unstoppable as he has a touchdown in all four games.</p>
<p>Tonight the Eagles were close to shutting him down as they held Miles without a catch until late in the game. Miles one catch was for 49 yards and was the winning score.</p>
<div style="float: right; margin-left: 5px;"><a href="http://view.picapp.com/default.aspx?term=nfl&amp;iid=7008865" target="_blank"><img style="width: 200px; height: 193px;" src="http://cdn.picapp.com/ftp/Images/b/4/e/1/Philadelphia_Eagles_fan_0a4c.JPG?adImageId=7276846&amp;imageId=7008865" border="0" alt="Philadelphia Eagles fan at beginning of the game." /></a></div>
<p><script src="http://cdn.pis.picapp.com/IamProd/PicAppPIS/JavaScript/PisV4.js" type="text/javascript"></script><br />
Quarterback <a href="http://www.fantasy-info.com/search/label/Tony_Romo">Tony Romo</a> has been almost perfect in his past three games and is improving in his decision making with the football.</p>
<p><span style="font-weight: bold; color: #009900;">Big Bird Shot Down</span></p>
<p>The Eagles&#8217; offense is completely reliant on the big play and tonight the Cowboys&#8217; defense could shut it down. If this team is going to the playoffs this year they need to get their running game going to have something to fall back on.</p>
<p>Running back <a href="http://www.fantasy-info.com/search/label/LeSean_McCoy">LeSean McCoy</a> didn&#8217;t have a bad night, but he&#8217;s clearly not able to handle the rock 25 times a game. This team needs <a href="http://www.fantasy-info.com/search/label/Brian_Westbrook">Brian Westbrook</a> back, and he should be on the field next week or the week after.</p>
<p>I thought at one point, Westbrook would play this week, but he had headaches on Friday and the team wisely kept him out.</p>

Teams like the <a href="http://www.fantasy-info.com/search/label/*Browns">Browns</a>, <a href="http://www.fantasy-info.com/search/label/*Rams">Rams</a>, <a href="http://www.fantasy-info.com/search/label/*Raiders">Raiders</a> and <a href="http://www.fantasy-info.com/search/label/*Bills">Bills</a> are all on bye weeks and that means fantasy owners can&#8217;t start defenses against them.</p>
<p>This week we have our weekly section on wounded warriors, as well as our top rankings for top position players. We have the top 16 ranked QB, TE, K and D/ST ranked. We also have the top 30 RB&#8217;s and top 35 WR&#8217;s as well.</p>
<p>Every week we will start off with our wounded warrior&#8217;s section. These are the key players that are on the injury report that you need to pay attention too before games begin.</p>
<p><span style="font-weight: bold; color: #990000;">Wounded Warriors</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: bold; color: #333399;">Quarterbacks</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: bold; font-style: italic; color: #339999;">Packers- Aaron Rodgers-</span><span style="color: #339999;"> </span>After the <a href="http://www.fantasy-info.com/search/label/*Packers">Packers&#8217;</a> loss to the <a href="http://www.fantasy-info.com/search/label/*Vikings">Vikings&#8217;</a>, quarterback <a href="http://www.fantasy-info.com/search/label/Aaron_Rodgers">Aaron Rodgers</a> was seen limping badly. When Rodgers was questioned about his foot, he said that in a few days he would be ok.</p>
<p>This is the same foot problem that has landed Rodgers on the injury report for the past few weeks. While this is a concern, Rodgers is slated to play this week and should produce well against the Buccaneers.</p>
<p><span style="font-weight: bold; font-style: italic; color: #3333ff;">Panthers- Jake Delhomme- </span>Delhomme had a good first half against the <a href="http://www.fantasy-info.com/search/label/*Cardinals">Cardinals</a> before he had to leave early because of a chest injury. The injury required that Delhomme go to the hospital and get tested.</p>
<p>On Monday Delhomme didn&#8217;t seem to suffer any major ill effects and looks to be a go week nine against the <a href="http://www.fantasy-info.com/search/label/*Saints">Saints</a>.</p>
<p><span style="font-weight: bold; color: #333399;">Running Backs</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: bold; font-style: italic; color: #339999;">Eagles- Brian Westbrook-</span> Philadelphia&#8217;s star running back is slated to practice on Wednesday after missing the <a href="http://www.fantasy-info.com/search/label/*Eagles">Eagles&#8217;</a> contest against the <a href="http://www.fantasy-info.com/search/label/*Giants">Giants</a>. While <a href="http://www.fantasy-info.com/search/label/Brian_Westbrook">Brian Westbrook</a> will practice, he will not engage in physical contact.</p>
<p>We will find out more by the week&#8217;s end if Westbrook will be a go for the Eagles tilt against the Cowboys.</p>
<p><span style="font-weight: bold; color: #333399;">Wide Receivers</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: bold; color: #3333ff; font-style: italic;">Lions- Calvin Johnson-</span><span style="color: #3333ff;"> </span>Megatron practice on Thursday and Friday in limited fashion last week. At one point John Clayton of ESPN thought Johnson would be a go against the <a href="http://www.fantasy-info.com/search/label/*Rams">Rams</a> this past Sunday.</p>
<p>As it turned out the Lions kept Johnson out of the lineup, and hopefully he will have a better week of practice this coming week. If he can practice all week than I would expect him to play this coming week in Seattle.</p>
<p><span style="font-weight: bold; color: #990000; font-style: italic;">Cardinals- Anquan Boldin-</span> One of the biggest problems with having Anquan Boldin on your fantasy team is that he is injury prone. This season Boldin has failed to stay healthy for the entire year and his production has suffered on the field.</p>
<p>Boldin&#8217;s continued ankle issue has led his head coach to consider sitting him down for this coming week against the Bears. If he does, in fact, not play than Steve Breaston will get the start.</p>
<p><span style="font-weight: bold; color: #663366;">Tight Ends</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: bold; font-style: italic; color: #990000;">Texans- Owen Daniels- </span>The Texans suffered a major blow to their offense when they lost tight end Owen Daniels for the season this past weekend. Daniels tore his acl and is done for the season.</p>
<p>Look for the Texans to use receiver Kevin Walter and Jacoby Jones more often as they need them to step up their production.</p>
<p><span style="font-weight: bold; color: #333399;">Quarterbacks</span></p>
<ul>
<li><span style="font-weight: bold;">Peyton Manning vs Texans</span></li>
<li><span style="font-weight: bold;">Tom Brady vs Dolphins</span></li>
<li><span style="font-weight: bold;">Drew Brees vs Panthers</span></li>
<li><span style="font-weight: bold;">Aaron Rodgers @ Buccaneers</span></li>
<li><span style="font-weight: bold;">Donovan McNabb vs Cowboys</span></li>
<li><span style="font-weight: bold;">Matt Schaub @ Colts</span></li>
<li><span style="font-weight: bold;">Ben Roethlisberger @ Broncos</span></li>
<li><span style="font-weight: bold;">Philip Rivers @ Giants</span></li>
<li><span style="font-weight: bold;">Eli Manning vs Chargers</span></li>
<li><span style="font-weight: bold;">Jay Cutler vs Cardinals</span></li>
<li><span style="font-weight: bold;">Tony Romo @ Eagles</span></li>
<li><span style="font-weight: bold;">Kurt Warner @ Bears</span></li>

<p><script src="http://cdn.pis.picapp.com/IamProd/PicAppPIS/JavaScript/PisV4.js" type="text/javascript"></script>As if things were not bad enough for the <a href="http://www.fantasy-info.com/search/label/*Redskins">Washington Redskins</a>, they lost their top target in tight end <a href="http://www.fantasy-info.com/search/label/Chris_Cooley">Chris Cooley</a> for the season. Cooley broke his foot in the Skins Monday night loss to the <a href="http://www.fantasy-info.com/search/label/*Eagles">Eagles</a>.</p>
<p><span style="font-weight: bold; color: #993300;">Fred Davis Steps In</span></p>
<p>Once Cooley was done for the game second year tight end (from USC) <a href="http://www.nfl.com/players/profile?id=00-0026188">Fred Davis</a> took over and had a good game. For the night, Davis totaled eight catches for 78 yards and a garbage time touchdown.</p>
<p>Fortunately, for the Redskins Davis showed them a lot of promise as they desperately need someone to fill Cooley&#8217;s shoes.</p>
<p>From a fantasy football perspective Davis is worth a look if you had Cooley on your team.</p>
<p>Someone will have to catch the football on this poor offense and Davis could be the man that produces for them.</p>
<p><span style="font-weight: bold; color: #339999;">Brian Westbrook Goes Down</span></p>
<div style="float: left; margin-right: 5px;"><a href="http://view.picapp.com/default.aspx?term=Brian%20Westbrook&amp;iid=6917157" target="_blank"><img style="width: 218px; height: 183px;" src="http://cdn.picapp.com/ftp/Images/7/c/5/9/Philadelphia_Eagles_v_2b7f.jpg?adImageId=6849782&amp;imageId=6917157" border="0" alt="Philadelphia Eagles v Washington Redskins" /></a></div>
<p><script src="http://cdn.pis.picapp.com/IamProd/PicAppPIS/JavaScript/PisV4.js" type="text/javascript"></script><br />
Early in the game Eagles running back <a href="http://www.fantasy-info.com/search/label/Brian_Westbrook">Brian Westbrook</a> went down with a concussion and was done for the game. This injury actually knocked out Westbrook as he was laying on the ground for a decent amount of time.</p>
<p>Given that the Eagles are on a short week before the play their next game, I can&#8217;t imagine he will start. This would be totally irresponsible by the Eagles to put a guy in with this kind of concussion on less than a weeks rest.</p>
<p>Look for <a href="http://www.fantasy-info.com/search/label/LeSean_McCoy">LeSean McCoy</a> to get the start this week against the <a href="http://www.fantasy-info.com/search/label/*Giants">Giants</a>. McCoy impressed his teammates and coaches this offseason but he has failed to do much this year.</p>
<p>If you need a starter this week as a bye week fill in you could do much worse than McCoy.</p>
<p><span style="font-weight: bold; color: #339999;">DeSean Jackson Takes Flight</span></p>
<div style="float: right; margin-left: 5px;"><a href="http://view.picapp.com/default.aspx?term=DeSean%20Jackson&amp;iid=6917302" target="_blank"><br />
</a></div>
<p><script src="http://cdn.pis.picapp.com/IamProd/PicAppPIS/JavaScript/PisV4.js" type="text/javascript"></script><br />
The Eagles No.1 receiver <a href="http://www.fantasy-info.com/search/label/DeSean_Jackson">DeSean Jackson</a> only touched the ball three times on offense but he had two big time touchdowns. The first one was a 67-yard touchdown run on a reverse and the second was a bomb down field from <a href="http://www.fantasy-info.com/search/label/Donovan_McNabb">Donovan McNabb</a>.</p>
<div style="float: right; margin-left: 5px;"><a href="http://view.picapp.com/default.aspx?term=DeSean%20Jackson&amp;iid=6917302" target="_blank"><img style="width: 198px; height: 138px;" src="http://cdn.picapp.com/ftp/Images/3/0/a/a/Philadelphia_Eagles_v_91cb.jpg?adImageId=6849875&amp;imageId=6917302" border="0" alt="Philadelphia Eagles v Washington Redskins" /></a></div>
<p>Jackson is playing like a top ten fantasy receiver this year and I expect him to keep it up. His only weakness is that he&#8217;s not a good touchdown maker inside the red zone, but he&#8217;s hitting the deep ball enough to be feared by all opponents.</p>

<p><script src="http://cdn.pis.picapp.com/IamProd/PicAppPIS/JavaScript/PisV4.js" type="text/javascript"></script>Another wild week of fantasy football is done as we are approaching the middle of October. This week I was surprised to see the <a href="http://www.fantasy-info.com/search/label/*Broncos">Broncos</a> beat the <a href="http://www.fantasy-info.com/search/label/*Patriots">Patriots</a> as they are still undefeated and atop the AFC West.</p>
<p>While the Broncos are off to a great start, there are other teams that are still looking for a win.</p>
<p>Next week <a href="http://www.fantasy-info.com/search/label/Kerry_Collins">Kerry Collins</a> is supposed to start for the <a href="http://www.fantasy-info.com/search/label/*Titans">Titans</a>, but I wonder how long they will go with him before <a href="http://www.fantasy-info.com/search/label/Vince_Young">Vince Young</a> gets the call. The Titans&#8217; season is just about over, and they need to see what Young can do.</p>
<p>Below I have some observations from the fifth week of the regular season and how I see those points of interest playing out from a fantasy perspective.</p>
<p><span style="font-weight: bold; color: #339999;">2009 NFL Regular Season Week Five</span></p>

<li><a href="http://www.fantasy-info.com/2009/10/dolphins-jets-braylon-edwards-scores-in.html"><span style="font-weight: bold;">Dolphins vs Jets</span></a></li>
</ul>
<p><span style="font-weight: bold; color: #000099;">Regular Season First Four Weeks</span></p>
<ul>
<li><a style="font-weight: bold;" href="http://www.fantasy-info.com/search/label/2009_RSWK1">Week One </a></li>
<li><a href="http://www.fantasy-info.com/search/label/2009_RSWK2"><span style="font-weight: bold;">Week Two</span></a></li>
<li><span style="font-weight: bold;"><a href="http://www.fantasy-info.com/search/label/2009_RSWK3">Week Three</a></span></li>
<li><span style="font-weight: bold;"><a href="http://www.fantasy-info.com/search/label/2009_RSWK4">Week Four</a><br />
</span></li>
</ul>
<p><span style="font-weight: bold; color: #336666;">Fantasy Football Regular Season Week Five Notes:</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: bold; color: #339999;">Maclin and McNabb Hook Up Twice</span></p>
<p>Seeing Maclin go wild only makes <a href="http://www.fantasy-info.com/search/label/Donovan_McNabb">Donovan McNabb&#8217;s</a> fantasy football ranking go higher. For the game Maclin had six catches for 142 yards and the two touchdowns.</p>
<p>McNabb had a fabulous day as well going 16-of-24 for 264 yards passing and three touchdown passes. This was a great game to see from McNabb as he has been out with a rib injury since the first week of the season.</p>
<div style="float: right; margin-left: 5px;"><a href="http://view.picapp.com/default.aspx?term=Jeremy%20Maclin&amp;iid=6781603" target="_blank"><img style="width: 180px; height: 160px;" src="http://cdn.picapp.com/ftp/Images/e/9/0/4/Eagles_vs_Bucs_76e5.JPG?adImageId=5293665&amp;imageId=6781603" border="0" alt="Eagles vs. Bucs" /></a></div>
<p><script src="http://cdn.pis.picapp.com/IamProd/PicAppPIS/JavaScript/PisV4.js" type="text/javascript"></script><br />
The Eagles are leaning on the passing game more often as <a href="http://www.fantasy-info.com/search/label/Brian_Westbrook">Brian Westbrook</a> is not fully healthy from his ankle injury in the spring.</p>
<p>McNabb, <a href="http://www.fantasy-info.com/search/label/DeSean_Jackson">DeSean Jackson</a> and <a href="http://www.fantasy-info.com/search/label/Brent_Celek">Brent Celek</a> should all have big years in fantasy football. Maclin is also a player that is worthy of having on your fantasy football team.</p>
<p><span style="font-weight: bold; color: #333399;">Colts Just Can&#8217;t be Stopped</span></p>
<p>This week it was Collie&#8217;s turn in the offense to have a big day as he had eight catches for 97 yards and two touchdowns. This was the kind of production that can only make fantasy football owners with <a href="http://www.fantasy-info.com/search/label/Peyton_Manning">Peyton Manning</a> smile.</p>
<p>With Garcon and Collie getting so many catches it only makes this quarterback more valuable.</p>
<div style="float: right; margin-left: 5px;"><a href="http://view.picapp.com/default.aspx?iid=6783278&amp;term=Peyton%20Manning" target="_blank"><img style="width: 211px; height: 142px;" title="Indianapolis Colts v Tennesse Titans - NASHVILLE, TN - OCTOBER 11: Peyton Manning #18 of the Indianapolis Colts throws the ball during the NFL game against the Tennessee Titans at LP Field on October 11, 2009 in Nashville, Tennessee. <p><script src="http://cdn.pis.picapp.com/IamProd/PicAppPIS/JavaScript/PisV4.js" type="text/javascript"></script><br />
What is just as big as the new receivers producing is the fact that the Colts are using a short passing game as a running game.</p>
<p>At the end of the game, the Colts threw the football just to win out the game.</p>
<p>Manning is having a great season, and I only expect him to keep it rolling after the bye week when they face the <a href="http://www.fantasy-info.com/search/label/*Rams">Rams</a>.</p>
<p><span style="font-weight: bold; color: #cc0000;">Broncos Win in Over Time</span></p>

<a href="http://www.fantasy-info.com/search/label/Kyle_Orton">Kyle Orton</a> had his best game of the season as he was 35-of-48 for 330 yards passing and two touchdowns. Both touchdowns went to top receiver <a href="http://www.fantasy-info.com/search/label/Brandon_Marshall">Brandon Marshall</a>.</p>
<p>This week Orton finally started getting the football to second year starter <a href="http://www.fantasy-info.com/search/label/Eddie_Royal">Eddie Royal</a> as he had ten catches in the game.</p>
<p>Not only did the Broncos receivers and quarterback had solid games but rookie running back <a href="http://www.fantasy-info.com/search/label/Knowshon_Moreno">Knowshon Moreno</a> was solid in his first start.</p>
<p>Moreno carried the football 21 times for 88 yards and had 4 receptions for 36 yards receiving.</p>
<p>The Broncos are still undefeated and entrenched as the top team in the AFC West. Not only are they winning but the offense is getting stronger every week.</p>
<p>All four of these players make for solid fantasy football starters going forward.</p>

<p><script src="http://cdn.pis.picapp.com/IamProd/PicAppPIS/JavaScript/PisV4.js" type="text/javascript"></script>Earlier in the week it was announced that <a href="http://www.fantasy-info.com/search/label/*Eagles">Eagles&#8217;</a> rookie <a href="http://www.fantasy-info.com/search/label/Jeremy_Maclin">Jeremy Maclin </a>would get his second start this week with Kevin Curtis out. In this game Maclin abused the <a href="http://www.fantasy-info.com/search/label/*Buccaneers">Buccaneers</a> sorry defense against the pass as he had a huge day.</p>
<div style="float: right; margin-left: 5px;"><a href="http://view.picapp.com/default.aspx?term=Jeremy%20Maclin&amp;iid=6781603" target="_blank"><img style="width: 205px; height: 183px;" src="http://cdn.picapp.com/ftp/Images/e/9/0/4/Eagles_vs_Bucs_76e5.JPG?adImageId=5293665&amp;imageId=6781603" border="0" alt="Eagles vs.
<p><span style="font-weight: bold; color: #cc0000;">Wait Till Next Year Buccaneers</span></p>
<p>Right now the Buccaneers are a total lost cause and their season is done. They are still looking to scratching out a win on the young season, and I&#8217;m not sure when they are going to get it.</p>
<p>Maybe next week they can beat the <a href="http://www.fantasy-info.com/search/label/*Panthers">Panthers</a> at home but <a href="http://www.fantasy-info.com/search/label/DeAngelo_Williams">DeAngelo Williams</a> and <a href="http://www.fantasy-info.com/search/label/Steve_Smith">Steve Smith</a> kill them.</p>
<p>All Tampa Bay players should only be used as bye week fill in&#8217;s at best for fantasy football.</p>

<p><script src="http://cdn.pis.picapp.com/IamProd/PicAppPIS/JavaScript/PisV4.js" type="text/javascript"></script>We are now two weeks into the season, and it is becoming more obvious to see which teams are contenders and which teams are pretenders in the NFL.</p>
<p>From a fantasy perspective, I expect players like <a href="http://www.fantasy-info.com/search/label/Matt_Forte">Matt Forte</a> and <a href="http://www.fantasy-info.com/search/label/Steve_Slaton">Steve Slaton</a> to break out of their early season funks, this week.</p>
<p>This week we have our weekly section on wounded warriors, as well as our top rankings for top position players. We have the top 16 ranked QB, TE, K and D/ST ranked. We also have the top 30 RB&#8217;s and top 40 WR&#8217;s as well.</p>
<p>Every week we will start off with our wounded warrior&#8217;s section. These are the key players that are on the injury report that you need to pay attention too before games begin.</p>
<p><span style="font-weight: bold; color: #660000;">Wounded Warrior&#8217;s </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: bold;"><a href="http://www.fantasy-info.com/search/label/Marion_Barber">Marion Barber</a> vs <a href="http://www.fantasy-info.com/search/label/*Panthers">Panthers</a> &#8211; </span><span>On Tuesday there were rumors that Barber would miss this week and next week, due to a quad injury. However, on Wednesday Barber was seen working out at practice and giving people the thumbs up sign.</span></p>
<p>At this point, Barber is still questionable, but if he continues to progress this week in practice, he may play on Monday night.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.fantasy-info.com/search/label/Wes_Welker">Wes Welker</a> vs <a href="http://www.fantasy-info.com/search/label/*Falcons">Falcons</a>- <span>Welker missed last week&#8217;s game against the Jets due to a knee injury. This week it looks like Welker will be a go against the Falcons. This comes as a bit of a surprise as Welker did not practice on Wednesday.</span></p>
<p>Since fantasy owners cannot trust the Patriots and their secretive ways with injuries, I would monitor this situation until kickoff.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.fantasy-info.com/search/label/Donovan_McNabb">Donovan McNabb</a> and <a href="http://www.fantasy-info.com/search/label/Brian_Westbrook">Brian Westbrook </a>vs <a href="http://www.fantasy-info.com/search/label/*Chiefs">Chiefs</a> &#8211; <span>Now, it is expected that Kevin Kolb will receive his second career start. McNabb is still not fully back from his rib injury and this is a game the Eagles should win without him.</span></p>
<p>Brian Westbrook will probably be a game time decision as he reaggravated the same ankle he had surgery on.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.fantasy-info.com/search/label/Frank_Gore">Frank Gore</a> vs <a href="http://www.fantasy-info.com/search/label/*Vikings">@ Vikings</a>- <span>Gore injured his ankle towards the end of his great game against the <a href="http://www.fantasy-info.com/search/label/*Seahawks">Seahawks</a>. So far, this week Gore says his ankle feels fine and will be a go for this weekend.</span></p>

<p>Last week Adrian Peterson was a total stud as he had 180 rushing and three touchdowns. If you used Peterson last week, it was a good game to use him for the season, as many running backs had down weeks.</p>
<p>While Peterson was strong other runner were more valuable this week like Thomas Jones or Julius Jones. If you happened to start either of these runners, you got great value for the one time you could use them all year.</p>
<p>This week a lot of big name running backs have great matchups but quarterbacks and receiver do not.</p>
<p>Below we have our survivor pool rankings split into three sections, and they are studs, mid range and poor plays.</p>
<p>We hope these survivor pool rankings help you choose those stud players you need this week for a successful start to the 2009 survivor fantasy season.</p>

<p>Week one of the fantasy football schedule is already behind us. Hopefully, your fantasy team got off to a good start to begin the year.</p>
<p><span style="font-weight: bold; color: #660000;">Wounded Warrior&#8217;s</span></p>
<p><a style="font-weight: bold;" href="http://www.fantasy-info.com/search/label/Donovan_McNabb">Donovan McNabb</a><span style="font-weight: bold;"> vs <a href="http://www.fantasy-info.com/search/label/*Saints">Saints</a></span> &#8211; McNabb has missed practice on Wednesday and Thursday, so far this week. At this point in time, it looks like he will be a scratch. Even if he can play, the Eagles will probably run the ball and throw short passes.</p>
<p><a style="font-weight: bold;" href="http://www.fantasy-info.com/search/label/Matt_Cassel">Matt Cassel</a><span style="font-weight: bold;"> vs <a href="http://www.fantasy-info.com/search/label/*Raiders">Raiders</a></span>- Right now I hope you have a better option than Cassel on your team to start. However, he should make players like Dwayne Bowe more valuable, when he&#8217;s on the field.</p>
<p>At this point in time, it looks like Cassel may in fact play, so hopefully we can expect better production from Bowe and Larry Johnson.</p>
<p><a style="font-weight: bold;" href="http://www.fantasy-info.com/search/label/Kyle_Orton">Kyle Orton</a><span style="font-weight: bold;"> vs <a href="http://www.fantasy-info.com/search/label/*Browns">Browns</a></span>- Orton is still wearing padded protection in his injured finger. Eddie Royal and Brandon Marshall may suffer a bit, while Orton is recovering. At the same time, all three players should have opportunities for success this week.</p>
<p><a style="font-weight: bold;" href="http://www.fantasy-info.com/search/label/LaDainian_Tomlinson">LaDainian Tomlinson</a><span style="font-weight: bold;"> vs <a href="http://www.fantasy-info.com/search/label/*Ravens">Ravens</a></span>- Tomlinson has missed practice both days this week. Right now he is wearing a protective boot on his injured ankle. Even if LT does play this week he is a poor bet for production against Baltimore.</p>
<p>If you have other options to start, I would bench Tomlinson this week.</p>
<p><a style="font-weight: bold;" href="http://www.fantasy-info.com/search/label/Pierre_Thomas">Pierre Thomas</a><span style="font-weight: bold;"> vs <a href="http://www.fantasy-info.com/search/label/*Eagles">@ Eagles</a></span>- Thomas has been practicing with a heavy knee brace and his status for this week is up in the air.</p>
<p>Thomas did say on his twitter that he is ready to go for this week. This is a good sign, but even if he does it will probably be in a limited role.</p>
<p><a style="font-weight: bold;" href="http://www.fantasy-info.com/search/label/Antonio_Bryant">Antonio Bryant</a><span style="font-weight: bold;"> vs <a href="http://www.fantasy-info.com/search/label/*Bills">@ Bills</a></span>- Bryant makes for a bad play this week as he is still recovering from knee surgery. Last week he pulled himself out of the game. Look for other options this week.</p>
<p><a style="font-weight: bold;" href="http://www.fantasy-info.com/search/label/Anquan_Boldin">Anquan Boldin</a><span style="font-weight: bold;"> vs <a href="http://www.fantasy-info.com/search/label/*Jaguars">@ Jaguars</a></span>- Boldin said his hamstring is much better than last week, but it is still not 100%. Unless you have a deep receiving core, I would suggest you keep Boldin in the lineup.</p>
<p><a style="font-weight: bold;" href="http://www.fantasy-info.com/search/label/TJ_Houshmandzadeh">T.J. Houshmandzadeh</a><span style="font-weight: bold;"> vs <a href="http://www.fantasy-info.com/search/label/*49ers">@ 49ers</a></span>- Housh is listed as probable this week with back and rib issues. He should be fine for the game as the Seahawks and 49ers fight for first place in the division.</p>
<p><a style="font-weight: bold;" href="http://www.fantasy-info.com/search/label/Brandon_Marshall">Brandon Marshall</a><span style="font-weight: bold;"> vs <a href="http://www.fantasy-info.com/search/label/*Browns">Browns</a></span>- Marshall is not listed on the injury report. This is a good sign, but he will still need some time to get into playing shape. If you have good depth you might consider benching him until he proves he&#8217;s back.</p>
<p><a style="font-weight: bold;" href="http://www.fantasy-info.com/search/label/Jeremy_Shockey">Jeremy Shockey</a><span style="font-weight: bold;"> vs <a href="http://www.fantasy-info.com/search/label/*Eagles">@ Eagles</a></span>- Shockey was limited on Thursday&#8217;s practice with an ankle issue. However, he is not expected to miss the game and should be a decent start this week.</p>
<p><span style="font-weight: bold;"> <span style="color: #000099;">Quarterback</span></span></p>
<ul>
<li><span style="font-weight: bold;">1. <a href="http://www.fantasy-info.com/search/label/Aaron_Rodgers">Aaron Rodgers</a>- Bengals</span></li>
