While there is not guaranteeing which teams will be strong and which teams will be weak in a given season, it’s still good to have an idea of the opponents your players will face.

Once the 2010 – 2011 season has started, we will find out which teams are for real and which teams are going to fold up. Who would have thought the Bengals would go undefeated in their division and the Titans would start out losing their first six games in 2009?

2009 Fantasy Year In Review: The first month of Mark Sanchez’s starting career went off without a hitch as the Jets were hot all around. Then Sanchez went into a funk and didn’t seem to pull out of it until the end of the season. For the regular year Sanchez had twenty interceptions and nearly cost his team a playoff bid because of it.

Thankfully, the Jets did get into the post season and Sanchez played great in that time. Those three games of production had to build Sanchez’s confidence for the future and it no doubt made his coaches and fans feel better about him.

2010 NFL Fantasy Football Player Rankings: The offseason started out with a knee surgery for Sanchez but in April, he received another target in the passing game with the addition of Santonio Homles. This offense has a bunch of talent and proven players, so they should only help this young quarterback in his progression.

For this season, I still see Sanchez as a year away from being a true fantasy relevant player as the team should lean more on the running game. With the Bills and Patriots in their division throwing the football can be a challenge. Still, the future is bright for Sanchez and one day he should make for a decent fantasy play.
