Fantasy Player Notes: Jerome Harrison blew up at the end of the fantasy season and has all but guaranteed himself a starting job in 2010. Still, look for the Browns to use another runner to help Harrison as upper management believes he is too small to be a feature back.

Before you’re 2010 fantasy football draft begins, it’s always good to see the schedule of particular players you’re prospecting for your future team.

Once the 2010 – 2011 season has started, we will find out which teams are for real and which teams are going to fold up. Who would have thought the Bengals would go undefeated in their division and the Titans would start out losing their first six games in 2009?

Throughout the season, you can always come back to our site and use our schedules for each team and player for your reference. Alternatively, you can also print out or download the schedule as well.

2009 Fantasy Year In Review: A knee injury to start the season and a stint in Coach Mangini’s dog house cost Jerome Harrison valuable time on the field. Couple that with veteran Jamal Lewis still as the teams start and there wasn’t room for Harrison to make a strong impact for fantasy football.

Early in the year, Harrison did have a very good game against the Bengals when he had a chance to start with 121 yards rushing on 29 carries. After that game, Harrison didn’t carry the football more than ten times in a game until week 15. Upon his opportunity to start Harrison compiled at least 34 carries for each of the last three games of the season.

Week 15, will go down as one of the craziest games for a running back to have in the fantasy playoffs with basically no one in fantasy land starting him. Just the week before Coach Mangini used a rookie running back over Harrison against the Steelers and it looked like Harrison’s fantasy value was a wash.

Then against the Chiefs Harrison carried the football 34 times for a ridiculous 286 yards rushing and three touchdowns! This made Harrison the biggest waiver wire name heading into a fantasy championship weekend that I can remember in the twenty years I’ve played this crazy game.

Harrison road out the final two weeks with strong days as he posted a touchdown in each game, and he added at least 127 yards rushing.

2010 NFL Fantasy Football Player Rankings: You would think Harrison would have the starting job after the terrific finish he had but that is not the case. The Browns drafted Montario Hardesty in the second round this April, and he’s had a good OTA camp so far. In the early portion of camp Harrison was out because he’s looking for a new contract.

Because of Hardesty’s solid play, Harrison quickly came back to camp in late May to try and hold the starting job. Harrison will probably keep the role but Hardesty is a big threat to force a RBBC situation as he is a bigger more physical runner and would make for a goal line carrier.

This definitely hurts Harrison and he will probably needs Hardesty to suffer an injury to control the main workload on the team. Because of this we have Harrison as a boarder line top twenty fantasy back, and he could fall just out of that area by August.

Keep an eye on this situation as we move deeper into preseason games before you select Harrison on draft day.
