Fantasy Player Notes: Ronnie Brown would be a clear first round pick in fantasy if he could only stay healthy. Unfortunately, Brown has been plagued by injury his entire career and there is no reason to believe he won’t have issues again. Start him while you’ve got him and cross your fingers that he can play most of the games.

2009 Fantasy Year In Review: Ronnie Brown was putting together a great fantasy season before he suffered another injury in week nine and was done for the season. For all the success Brown’s had on the field it seems like he will never produce a full season for fantasy owners.

Before the injury Brown was on pace for at least 1,200 yards rushing and 16 plus touchdowns when you factor in that he even throws touchdowns in.

2010 NFL Fantasy Football Player Rankings: Brown’s foot is making good progress, and he is fully expected to be with the team in July for camp and practice in full contact. This is a very good sign that Brown should be ready to roll to start the season as long as he doesn’t suffer a setback in camp.

Assuming Brown is healthy by the time your draft starters, look for him as a top twenty option in the running game. When he’s on the field he will play more like a top ten fantasy running back. If you do end up selecting him, it would be a very good idea to get Ricky Williams as a hand cuff runner so that if Brown goes down again, you have protection.
