2011 PPR WR Rankings
Rankings Last Updated – September 2nd
Give a receiver a point for each reception and options like Patriots wide out Wes Welker fall into the top ten overall. Even receivers like Rams Danny Amendola and Dolphins Davone Bess make our top 30 receivers to take this season because they project to stay active in their squads passing game by rackup short yardage receptions.
In standard redraft leagues, fantasy owners want to focus a little more on the big play receivers like Mike Wallace or DeSean Jackson, but having too many of those options in PPR can actually hurt you as fellow owners are racking up the points with receiver going for 90 to 110 receptions on the season. With the NFL using more spread offenses, top end pass catchers are starting to mean a little more, and I believe that is part of the reason you’re seeing PPR leagues gaining in popularity on the internet.
Our wide receiver PPR projections below take into account not just each pass catchers 2011 projected stats, but each players upside, risk, weather factors, strength of schedule, style of offense and the team they have (skill players) around them. Throughout the summer, we will be updating this page because injuries, free agency and unexpected breaking news are constant and values are always in flux.
For fantasy player rankings beyond standard redraft league play feel free to check out our cheat sheets section of the website for rankings in various league play. We will also have mock drafts available to help you get an idea of where various wide receivers are being selected in different league styles. We also have Standard ReDraft and Keeper / Dynasty rankings for receivers as well.
