Adrian Wilson

Adrian Wilson | Arizona Cardinals | Defensive Back

2011 IDP Fantasy Football Outlook: In the first week of training camp Adrian Wilson tore his bicep and while he hopes to return at some point this season, he is likely to be gone for the year. Look to youngster Rashad Johnson as the possible replacement for Wilson at the strong safety position. Johnson is a third year player and it looks like he’s ready to take a shot at the starting role. This makes Johnson a deep sleeper as this position can have some value for IDP leagues in the Cardinals scheme.

June 2011 – Before Torn Bicep

Adrian Wilson play another full 16 games last year but did so with bothersome injuries. Assuming Wilson is healthy coming into the season, he should make for a cheep addition for IDP leagues at the safety position. Maybe Wilson won’t give you a 100 tackles on the season but he should be good for over 80 and he’s usually reliable to make a few big plays as well.

Don’t look to Wilson as a starter even if you start two safety positions, because his health could be a concern as he’s 31 and with his aggressive play, the wear and tear could be mounting on his body.

2010 IDP Fantasy Football Outlook

Adrian Wilson posted another typical season for IDP owners that had him as he continued to make plays but not rack up a tone of tackles. This season Wilson may see more tackles with Karlos Dansby gone the the Dolphins.
