Antoine Bethea | Indianapolis Colts | DB
2013 Experience: 8th Season
IDP Fantasy Football Outlook: Many IDP experts and fantasy owners anticipated the Colts would go through another horrible season even with Andrew Luck as the quarterback, thus inflating Bethea’s tackle numbers once again.
While Bethea totaled 100 tackles on the season, but his production dropped by 39 tackles from 2011 as the Colts played good football and actually made it to the playoffs.
While Bethea will give us productive tackle numbers weekly, he’s total one interception in the past three years and failed to force a fumble last season. We shouldn’t expect big plays from Bethea despite his two sacks from last year and with the Colts re-emerging as a respectable team again, view the veteran as a safe DB3 rather than a DB2 as he’s been in the past.

Summer of 2012: Fantasy Projections
Don’t expect many big plays from Antoine Bethea but he has a chance to lead all defensive backs in tackles. Because the Colts focused the draft towards upgrading talent around Andrew Luck, the defense really didn’t get much help, as they switch to a 3-4 scheme.
Target Bethea as one of the top five defensive backs off the board, because of his opportunity and the consistent production he will give you.
Summer of 2011: Fantasy Projections
The Colts tend to rely on their safeties traditionally to make plays and that is one of the reason why Antoine Bethea has had just over or around 100 tackles each of the past three seasons. No, Bethea will never be a IDP beast like LaRon Landry or T.J. Ward but he is a dependable option to have on your squad and makes for a respectable No.2 safety to start.
