2012 Experience: 14th Season

IDP Fantasy Football Outlook: Antoine Winfield suffered a broken collarbone that cost him most of the season. In his five games played, he proved his IDP production is still strong with 40 tackles in that time.

Not one of the best big-play corners, Winfield has made his bones as one of the top corners in IDP because he’s one of the better tacklers at his position. Only 5’9, Winfield relies on proper technique, and he plays bigger than his size.

Consider Winfield a CB1 if you play in leagues with a corner position, and in traditional leagues, he’s a DB3 with upside to perform better if he’s on the field.

Summer of 2011: Fantasy Projections

Old man Antoine Winfield bounced back from an injury riddled season in 2009, and posted a terrific season for IDP leagues as he went over 100 tackles on the season and even threw in a couple sacks. Winfield has been one of the better corner backs for IDP fantasy football for some time now and only injury can stop him from producing once again.

The Vikings defense should be on the field a good amount of time, as they are likely to have rookie Christian Ponder as their quarterback and that should spell some stretches where the offense has three and outs. Winfield is a good bet to reach 100 tackles again, and should be viewed as one of the top corners to draft, once again.

2010 IDP Fantasy Football Outlook

Antonie Winfield has been one of the better cornerbacks for IDP for the past few seasons. Last season however Winfield suffered a foot injury and was out for a good potion of time. The Vikings expect to have Winfield ready to go for week one and he should be a good corner for IDP once again.
