IDP Fantasy Football Outlook: Charles Woodson has discussed openly about the possibility of moving to safety this offseason. While he will likely play the position at times, it shouldn’t affect his status as a corner eligible player, because I’m not sure the Packers would commit to using him there before your draft.
Even if Woodson does make the transition, expect defensive coordinator Dom Capers to move him around like he normally does. Woodson should still be at least an early DB2 in your league.

Summer of 2011: Fantasy Projections
IDP fantasy owners should be grateful that Dom Capers came to Green Bay two years ago, because if you’ve had Charles Woodson in that time, he’s taken his game to another level. Woodson has always been a dependable option for big play leagues since he cam over to the Packers in 2006, but his new found tackle numbers, have made him one of IDP’s top corners and defensive backs to have over the past two seasons.
Woodson may be heading into his 14th year as a pro, but all that means to me is that opposing quarterback may continue to throw the ball his direction, if he should see a decline in coverage. Bottom line is that Woodson is still one of the elite corners for IDP fantasy football leagues, and should be viewed as one of the more reliable options to draft at the defensive back position.

2010 IDP Fantasy Football Outlook
Charles Woodson put together an IDP season for the ages last year with a fantastic stat line. Look for Woodson to have another solid year in Dom Capers 3-4 defense once again in 2010.
