Craig Dahl | St. Louis Rams | Defensive Back
2011 IDP Fantasy Football Outlook: The Rams seem set on moving Craig Dahl over to free safety to take over for the loss of O.J. Atogwe to the Redskins. With the addition of Quintin Mikell in free agency, clearly if Dahl will start, he will be a free safety as Mikell is set to be the teams strong safety. Dahl will lose IDP fantasy value because of this move, but should continue to be a viable option for the Rams.
Look to Dahl as a late round selection at best on draft day, as he’s likely to be more of a waiver wire pickup at some point during the season. If something should happen to Mikell, it’s more than possible that St. Louis could shift Dahl over to the strong side, and that would make him an option as a No.2 defensive back in leagues deeper than ten teams.

June 2011
Craig Dahl brokout as a weekly option at safety for IDP leagues as he totaled 98 tackles in only 13 starts at strong safety. With O.J. Atogwe gone to the Redskins, it looks like the Rams have Dahl listed as the teams free safety and traditionally that isn’t an encouraging sign for his continue tackle production.
That said, the Rams really have no notable other safeties in the roster so Dahl could end up sniffing out a decent amount to tackles for his position. I’m skeptical that Dahl can return to his numbers from a years ago, as he failed to make a lot of plays, outside of his tackle production. Look to Dahl as a late round backup for your IDP squad if your considering him for your team.
