Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie
Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie | Philadelphia Eagles | Cornerback
2011 IDP Fantasy Football Outlook: The Eagles picked up Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie in the Kevin Kolb deal. While I thought the Cardinals gave up too much for Kolb, DRC is now set to team up with fellow corners Nnamdi Asomugha and Asante Samuel in what could be the greatest trio of corners in the history of the game. Not many times to you have a situation with three corners of this caliber and all of them are in the prime of their careers.
It’s yet to be decided if DRC will be a starter over Samuel but his style of play is a better fit the the Eagles defensive scheme. This is why reports of Samuel begin of for trade floated around after the Eagles landed their Asomugha. In moving over to the Eagles, DRC has better IDP fantasy value as it looked like he wouldn’t be on the radar in Arizona.
Opposing teams will be forced to throw the football and many times they may test this DRC as he is the youngest of the bunch and can still find himself out of position at times. If your looking for a corner to draft from the Eagles I would go with DRC, but only in the later rounds because he’s not a great tackler and will at best have around 50 on the season. That said, in big play leagues, he could be a force for turnovers as he can make plays and take it back to the house.

2011 June
Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie is still one of the games brighter corner options in terms of pass coverage but he’s a horrible tackler and won’t have much IDP value in the years to come. If you find anyone selecting him at your IDP draft, it basically means that they are new to this style of fantasy football and are going after “names” on defense, which isn’t the way to view prospecting talents in his game.
2010 IDP Fantasy Football Outlook
Dominique Rodgers-Cromarite showed us the big time ability he has with his six picks and 25 pass defenses last season as a full time starter. DRC did have MCL work done this offseason but he should be a full go by training camp. Look for DRC to be a productive corner and especially in Big Play IDP leagues.
