Harrison Smith | Minnesota Vikings | DB
2013 Experience: 2nd Season
IDP Fantasy Football Outlook: Smith wasn’t expected to break onto the IDP scene as a rookie but he had a great rookie season. Not sure he will have the numbers he posted last year with Desmond Bishop in as the middle linebacker.
Still he’s worthy of a DB2 look and it’s not like we know Bishop will be a full health after he missed all of last year with a leg injury in Green Bay.

2012 IDP Fantasy Projection
You would think playing in Minnesota would make Harrison Smith an instant DB2 prospect because of how long this defense will be on the field. The Vikings scheme hasn’t had the best luck with producing IDP talent over the years, and Smith is likely to be more in the backfield than coming down in the box.
It’s alright to take a shot on him at the end of your draft and see what happens, but don’t expect big things from Smith in this role.
