Kareem Jackson

Kareem Jackson | Houston Texans | Cornerback

2011 IDP Fantasy Football Outlook: If Kareem Jackson can hold onto a starting job he should stand to be an IDP sleeper worth taking a chance on in deep leagues, as a late round pick. The Texans are expected to bring in a veteran corner and move Glover Quin out to safety, but new DC Wade Phillips has been outspoken about his concerns about Jackson’s overall speed and technique.

With the lockout Jackson doesn’t stand to make huge strides in his technique, and that should help make him a target from opposing quarterbacks to go after, throughout each game. This should help set Jackson up to improve on his 72 tackles from a year ago, ten pass deflections and two interceptions. Factor in that the Texans will use a 3-4 system, and Jackson is in a potentially IDP friendly situation for IDP fantasy owners to consider. I like Jackson as a sleeper this year, assuming he can hold onto a starting job.
