IDP Fantasy Football Outlook: Coming out of Miami some thought Kenny Phillips was primed to be a star player in the NFL, but injuries and perhaps deficiencies that were underrated have limited his ability to play at a high level.
Phillips is nothing more than a reserve player in IDP leagues. Target Antrel Rolle and Terrell Thomas as better options from this backfield.

Summer of 2011: Fantasy Projections
For all the hype on Kenny Phillips coming out of Miami, we finally got to see him play a full sixteen games in his third season. The results were less than note worthy as Phillips failed to reach 80 tackles on the season and didn’t do much in terms of making plays on the field. Perhaps injuries have stunted what could have been an interesting career, or maybe Phillips was never going to be the player some thought he might be. Whatever the case, Phillips is best left on waiver wires for IDP leagues to begin the season.

Now, Phillips is hopeful he will be ready for week one of the season and all signs point to him probably getting back by that time. Don’t look for Phillips at your IDP fantasy draft as we need to see how productive he can be coming back from the knee.
